To the owner of Interstate Car Care in Amarillo: Does your fuel contain detergents that help clean the engine, or is it just plain raw gasoline? Thanks

gas stops selling at 7 pm, but if you are getting any car work done, you need to be there before 6 pm. Did not check to see what days they were open.

Be careful of the pump on the side of the station. The automatic cutoff didn't work and it dumped about a half gallon on the ground before I caught it. Their price as off 8/8 for the three grades were $3.59.9, $3.69.9,m and $3.79.9 per gallon.
Updated by earl reynolds, June 28, 2014 14:33 CDT
octane ratings on pump are 86-88-91 and that is when it comes from new mexico.87-89-91 is usually what our octane is because for some time now we have been getting our fuel from oklahoma--just ask attendant inside for current octane ratings
Updated by Benzadmiral, May 21, 2014 19:00 CDT
Still E0; 86, 88, and 91 (?) octane.

I-40 exit 72A easy on and off
Updated by Jonathan Lathbury, May 03, 2013 8:07 CDT
I corrected the address so Google Maps can locate the station. Otherwise if the address is descriptive instead of actual Google Maps or GPS units can not locate the station. Location descriptions are best left to the comment section. This is a great place to stop with good guys who run it and know what they are doing in Amarillo and I want everyone to find it so these guys can stay in business.

This is a real service station and is very easy to get to off exit 72A. They are next to the Camelot Inn. If you need to have your car serviced there is a Cracker Barrel easy walking distance on the other side of I-40. This is one of my favorite places to stop at while driving cross country. Best gas in north Texas.
